This has been one of the most difficult events to organise, because I thought, well, since it's HEALTH food, I should ask some healthy bloggers, like CIKIPEDIA and MR FLABBYLESS, but since both are so busy, I finally decided to check out the place myself, courtesy of my first Free Step instructor, Ms Boey Kim Mei.
Okay, Fit For Two is not exactly the place where you'd expect to see me, although yes, sometimes I look like I am five to six months pregnant, and believe me, if the good Lord were to allow men to bear children, I will... I think I will, ... I might.... errr....Phew, fortunately the good Lord didn't. Even the pain from a wisdom tooth extraction injection almost made me faint, let alone the pain from the epidural needle. I digress. Fit For Two is located on the 3rd floor of Bangsar Village Two, and has a studio for pregnant mothers (is that a redundant description? pregnant mother? What else would a woman be pregnant with? Hokkien mee?), to work out, with the proper guidance of proper pregnancy option type exercises, I'm guessing here.
Anyway, nothing is complete without food and nourishment, and certainly, this place is no exception. I was surprised to see a really extensive menu, and thanks to the two health afficianados who COULDN'T make it, I could only sample limited varieties.
You see, I didn't even get to order this stunningly healthy looking soya salad, which was from the next table, but I shamelessly trotted over to take a pic. Looks good, and lusciously salubrious.
Our first dish was the hummus salad, a creamy hummus which could be used as a dressing for the leafy greens, or as a dip for the pita breads. The hummus was really good, and if it was healthy, it sure fooled me. Healthy food is never good, and good food is never healthy. Okay, after this meal, I think I may have been wrong.
Next up, my favourite, this quinoa salad with roasted pumpkin. I think of quinoa that something birds and health conscious teenage girls eat, (like my daughter), but actually, the crunch and texture of the quinoa is very appetizing. Not to mention, it's a useful Q scrabble word. The combination of the pumpkin with the quinoa makes this a rather filling dish actually.
Seriously, how could this be "healthy"? Deep fried breaded egg plant on a bed of pesto pasta. Totally delicious! The eggplants were crisp on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. A great combination. Oh, another noteworthy observation is the salt levels are just right for me. In my old age I find myself very salt averse.
Moroccan Chicken Stew With Cous Cous. The smell was amazing, the aroma of chopped coriander assailed the olfactories, but honestly, taste wise, I felt it lacked kick and oomph.
As a reward for our lunch "workout", we felt that we could treat ourselves to this stunningly perfect bannoffee pie, whose fame has apparently preceded her. A digestive biscuit crust, with a subtle layer of chocolate, a very stable layer of toffee that allows it to be so perfectly slice, layers of nicely ripened bananas and topped with a layer of fresh whipping cream, and dusted with cocoa to combat any sweetness.
If you are with child, or even without, do check out their website and what they offer here, to ease your gestation period.

Yeah you are right! Every restaurant is selling some form of unhealthy foods. Fast food is very dangerous for our health. But I am glad that few event venues serve healthy food and booking one among them is our first preference.
