But at RM15.60 for the double prosperity beef burger alone, (I somehow try to avoid those value meals, as I find a soft drink and chips a waste of calorie quota), I wonder who got slaughtered here.....
.......this fella here?
Perhaps it was the cheesy ad on TV, the one that chronicled the genesis of the prosperity burger, and the little boy who made eye contact with the little girl, as he makes a mess of himself, and how over the years they both grow up and fall in love. Cheesy, but effective I'd say.
Yeah, so anyway, I hope by ingesting double prosperity, it will manifest itself soon in other ways, ....and I don't mean people coming up to me saying, "WAH, YOU LOOK VERY PROSPEROUS HOR"....
PS- I'm sure every living human being in Malaysia has tried this already, ... I have to say I love the ultra peppery taste and the kick that the burger gives to the palate.

deja vu! hahaha. hey we got slaughtered, and so did many others! damn. and i agree that softdrinks and fries are waste of calories, and i usually try to stay away from them.
btw, the cow is just....funny but gross. lol.
I look forward to the Fatt Choy burger every year. I find it sooo yummy! Got a shock when they told me the total bill. The price gone up so much...McD fatt choy, but me too kena slaughtered.
I'm one of the few living human being who has NOT tasted this burger yet! Hmmm... now I'm undecided whether i shd get myself slaughtered or not...
Tasted this the first year it came out, before it got doubled and tripled or whatever. But refuse to get slaughtered lah. My friend told me he spent over RM40 for lunch the other day with his gf. A prosperous lunch indeed but for whom? :P
Only Ronald McDonald Corporation gets to fatt-choy ... Aiyoh! That's bloody expensive.
Makes the "gourmet" burger joints seem... reasonable!
wat to do..i like the burger too..had it once so far..need to have it again b4 it disappears!
am boycotting McDs. Not cos of the "Boycott McD, Coke and Colgate" thingy but cos the price of the Prosperity Burger was SO expensive. I was looking forward to makan-ing it since last cny, but at that price, kena boycott-la.
not worthy alrei.. Better go Carls Jr..but it's the CNY mood thingy.. just got to hv one each yr! But i hv yet to taste it this yr..
haha.. i know!i'll get someone to pay for me!
can deliver to australia?
i want one now :(
by the way, in china if people are fat, it is said that they are rich cos can afford to eat. maybe that's why it's called the prosperity burger :P
i never failed to try one least once every CNY.
but really DAMN mahal liao!!! RM8.80 for the burger alone, right?
better go rob bank. LOL.
but the quality diminishing lah. patty too dry, and bun also dry. least the sauce this time around not too overwhelming. maybe at the outlet I went only though.
yeah, the price has gone up so much for the burger. but i love the curly fries so now i get the fries only coz the whole set would cost about 20 ler. good for 4 meals at chinese coffeeshops leh.
Yup. Sweeney Tod's style. Me too. Boo-hoo-hoo. And it was my 1st time trying it. Bwa-wa-wa-wa.
tummythoz...i guess once a year okay la hor.
jasmine, i KNOWWWW, i was just thinking...gee, this is a lot of roti canai...
J2KFM, 8.80 is probably for the single prosperity....and which chinaman would go for SINGLE prosperity? sounds so wrong... (actually i did at first, not realising there was a difference...)
james, but alas, we all know now that calories are cheap so fat no longer equals prosperity...
TNG, arent you lucky, got someone to pay for you....heh heh...but yala, must get right, once a year.
Lulu, i guess its like yeesang also la, so cut throat price one...but still must eat though...
nipples, yalar, there's a strange allure right...!
jules, yup, must go and patronize DAILY GRIND after this...some more friends own it...

xin, yup, you and me and a cow named moo...all kena slaughtered cow cow...
The prosperity burger is about the only thing I used to eat from that place - poor man's black pepper steak. Except now poor men cannot afford to eat there.
Oh, happy new year. Looks like you had a blast! Here's to good living, good eating and good friends :)
Hahahaahahaha...

sc, still cant get over it....heh heh.
DD, yeah, i'm sure its entirely a local thing. whats the attraction of curly fries??? hahaha!
ciki dear, one must maintain one's facial composure at all times ma...so even kena slaughtered, must look dignified.
DEE, guffffaw, you are sooo right, it is a black pepper steak...hahaha.
"a preposterous prosperous lunch"?
That's a winner! ;)
Have yet to give it a try after all these years of promotion. Better yet, to look forward to home made Yee Sang with lotsa imported Salmon.
hello! yeah this year the price like much more expensive leh.. even all the valuemeals around rm9.. i remember it was like rm6-7 last year right?
haih.. but then.everytime this burger out, definitely go for at least once or twice.. dunno y.
i must say the meat's kinda nice but very expensive lar. at least throw in a slice of fried nin go lar, hor? hehehe...was comparing this to big mac and the me thinks the big old one is betta lar in terms of taste and value. then again, very subjective lar.
