Newsflash - October Schedule for The Cooking House

Disclaimer: No monetary payment nor payment in kind has been received for this advertisement. It is purely out of friendship, the noblest of all reason.

My favourite cooking school, the COOKING HOUSE, has just released their October schedule. Do log on to their website to find out what goodies they have in store and to check out their online schedule.

Classes are extremely reasonably priced, and the place exudes a warmth and cosiness as if you were cooking in your own kitchen. Dream kitchen, I might add.

Also, I am trying to gather a group of 6 or more, for a pasta workshop at the Cooking House, but the catch is, it's on a Monday, so if you are not a Tai Tai, or Tai Kong, or running your own business, or in between jobs, just ignore the following paragraph lest you salivate and short circuit your keyboard.

The proposed syllabus is :
1. Ravioli with special tomato sauce
2. Francis' Signature Fettucine Carbonara
3. Squid Ink Pasta with seafood in prawn bisque
4. Chef's special Spaghetti Aglio Olio
5. Gnocchi with tomato and cheese gratin

Why Monday? Because my landlady/ godma, who is very keen to attend, can only make it on Mondays. The chef is some chappie who is/was a saucier (not saucy) called Francis Lim. Good credentials, obviously.

Email me at fatboybakes@gmail.com for more info on this specially tailored pasta class.

FBB, are they making fresh pasta or just using those ready make dry pasta? If they are making fresh pasta, that will be fantastic!

wow, making from scratch. Sounds very interesting as I always wondered what flour to use here to since cook books always say strong flour.
