Carlsberg's Probably the Most Victorious Year Celebration

It's always  fun to be invited for a Carlsberg event, because they sure know how to throw a party.  And with a tagline line "PROBABLY THE MOST VICTORIOUS YEAR" (I love the vagueness the world "probably" adds), one could expect the ushering of the Dog year with a aplomb.

The launch ceremony was held in the 1 Utama Shopping Centre, and the area was decked out this auspicious red and green, and Carlsberg banners flying like the Heraldic flags used in battles of old.

The guests and shoppers were treated to a rather impressive Lion Dance Show, in fact, one of the best I've seen, and very acrobatic, I could have almost sworn the Lions did a somersault. It culminates with the Lions displaying the banners which probably reads, QI KAIDE SHENG, which means the most victorious year kinda thing.

Following the Lion Dance was a 24 Season drum paired with a 8 foot giant drum performance, which was also very impressive.  Pity the performance wasn't on an elevated platform, and the the vantage views were probably gotten by the shoppers who hovered in the balconies in the higher floors.

A martial arts performance...

"Keeping to our traditions, we usher in the CNY by rewarding our consumers for their support and loyalty and this year is no exception. We are glad to flag off this CNY with a resounding victory wishing all Malaysians"Be Jolly Toegether:, "Abundance of Happiness", "A Simply Satisfying Year" and "Cheers" (Yum Seng), MD Lars Lehmann said as he unveiled the Chinese greeting messages when striking the four giant red bottle caps replica on stage.

When combined, the caps read PROBABLY THE MOST VICTORIOUS YEAR.

The brewery also celebrated the record breaking of half a billion ringgit scool building funds the Top Ten Charity Campaign accumulated over the last 30 years for approximately 650 Schools.  TOP TEN, a flagship Chinese community project of Carlsberg Malaysia, with joint efforts by China Press and Nanyang Siang Pau, has been championing fun raising for Chinese Schools in East and West Malaysia.

This was followed by a performance by TOP TEN Artistes.
